Born in 2014 by Creative Director, Max Svärdh and CEO, Albin Johansson, Axel Arigato is a Sweden based contemporary brand that started from an Instagram page and an idea to break into the footwear market.

With deep roots in music, art, architecture and what is contemporary, Axel Arigato has defined itself by offering more than a product. It has been created to leave an experience at the front of mind, whether it’s via stores, online or through events.

Axel Arigato currently has 6 stores, including London, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Gothenburg with more pending. Expanding from 2 people to now hiring over 65 members of staff in 4 years, Axel Arigato also operates a subsidiary office in London.

Axel Arigato is offering a full-time position for a Women's RTW Designer at the office in Gothenburg.

We are out to create beautiful, statement pieces for women that are on-trend yet still made with the highest quality materials and comfort.

The candidate should have a unique perspective and an overall aesthetic that can balance between cool, feminine and luxurious.

The primary function of this role is to transform our core assortment for Men and develop new products with the modern women in mind.

Job description

- Proactively bring design suggestion to the women’s clothing category

- Come up with fresh, relevant and innovative ideas

- Communicate ideas through sketch and illustrations

- Be able to develop a collection of consistency within the Axel Arigato brand identity and ethos

Qualifications

- Degree in fashion design or related discipline

- 2-3 years working experience in Women’s RTW category

- Efficient in Adobe illustrator & Photoshop. Additional 3D computer design software knowledge is a plus

- Ability to clearly complete tech specs

- Obtain understanding of the brand and ability to produce original ideas and translate them into product that reflects and elevates the Axel Arigato brand

- Have a strong sense of market trends

- Obtain the highest level of attention to detail

- Excellent organisation skills

- Excellent communication skills
