We are looking for a Desktop Support Analyst on a full-time basis to be based out of our site in Gothenburg. The purpose of the role is to support the “end-user computing” environment.
Working in the Global Desktop Support team, the Desktop Support Analyst will provide user-facing desktop support, computer provisioning and deployment services, as well as focusing on offering excellent internal customer service. Primarily, for Golder locations across the region, remote support will be undertaken. There will however be occasions when national and international travel will be necessary when on-site support is required.
Key responsibilities include:
• Conduct the installation, configuration and deployment of Windows end-user operating systems – currently Windows 10
• Perform laptop, workstation and mobile device hardware installation and troubleshooting
• Provide application installation and support
• Resolve support issues that are assigned to desktop support from the Golder Global Helpdesk
• Adhere to published SLAs to ensure all tickets are resolved in a timely manner
• Adhere to Golder Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policy and procedures
• Always adhere to the Code of Conduct and raise concerns as appropriate
• Ensure actions and behaviours are always aligned to Golder’s Business Ethics policies
Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
• Recognised qualification in at least one subject of a scientific or technical nature, ideally computer studies (or equivalent)
• Demonstrable experience in an IT support role, ideally end-user focussed
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (in English AND local language: Swedish)
• Excellent knowledge of end-user computer hardware, including workstations, laptops, mobile devices, monitors, printers and peripherals
• Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating system, common applications, specifically Microsoft Office 365, and other common computer software
• Experience of Incident management using recognised ticketing systems
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Willingness and ability to travel
Desirable:
• A good understanding of computer networks
• A good understanding of Microsoft Server Operating Systems
• Previous experience supporting Engineering applications (Bentley, Autodesk, ESRI)
• Experience of working in a remotely managed and structured, team-orientated, collaborative environment
• An understanding of ITIL Service Management
• Additional language skills (French, German or Spanish)
• Driving license
