Silversea cruises, world leader in luxury cruising operating four vessels on world wide itineraries is currently recruiting for the following positions:
Desktop Publishing Coordinator

This position contributions to the Company's Mission, values, and strategic priorities by implementing the service principles of Aggressive Hospitality in the following areas:
. coordination / production and quality control of all written onboard communication with guests
. training assistance for new crew members
. safe professional and personal practices
. Congeniality and teamwork.
In carrying out these responsibilities, the Desktop Publishing Coordinator undertakes duties in the four areas of the professional performance score card:
. Technical
. Safety
. Silver Service
. Social
The duties in each of these performance areas are detailed below. These duties are undertaken within company policies, standards, and operating manuals.
1.Publication of the Silversea newsletter
2.Contact person for all visiting writers / journalists
3.Develops printed formats as required by other departments
4.Coordinates and ensures corporate looks of all printed matters as well as timely production
5.Proofing and printing if all menus
6.Coordinates the translation of printed matters into foreign languages
7.Assistance with administrative matters (minutes of Captain's and Hotel Director's meetings)
8.Regular back-ups of all pertinent computer files
9.Regular exchange of files and information with other SC vessels
10.Active and continuous communication with Hotel director and other departments
11.Practices preventative maintenance
12.Performs all other duties as requested by supervisor
13. Assist managers with induction and training on new personnel.
14. Carry out designated role in crew and passenger safety drills according to regulations.
15. Comply with Company safety and pollution prevention regulations and procedures.
16. Complete the Silver Service CD-room program.

Utbildning/Erfarenhet
.B.A in journalism or similar
.In-depth knowledge of desktop publishing and graphic design
.Knowledge of following peripherals: scanner, CD room drive, high resolution laser printer
