About this opportunity
In Traffic Control (TC) Systems, within DNEW's central system organization Network Systems & Verification (NSV), we are now looking for a System Developer to the area of Traffic Control.

What you will do
The main responsibility for the Traffic groups at NSV TC systems is 5G traffic control, including e.g. higher-layer RAN 3GPP interfaces and protocols, eNB and gNB algorithms for mobility, connection handling, dual connectivity, carrier aggregation, and RAN Services, including e.g. voice (VoLTE and VoNR), RAN slicing, RAN sharing, IoT and FWA. The systemization work is broad and includes understanding both lower layers (PHY, MAC) and connection to the core network and end-user applications that run on top of our RAN.
Your contributions as System Developer, you will work together with a team of very experienced and highly qualified system engineers, working in all phases of the product development flow with an extra emphasis on the early phases (concept building, proof of concepts, systemization of functionality).
There will be opportunities for several exciting and results-oriented tasks over time, such as driving studies, acting as a bridge to design and verification, taking ownership for a specific technical area, KanBan master, simulation work, standardization in 3GPP, field trials support, customer contacts and more. We work near our customer doing Demos, PoC's and system support.
To be successful in the role you must have
NR User plan, RLC and PDCP experience
A personality that is positive, productive and creative
A need to strive to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations
MSc level in a technical subject area or the equivalent level of knowledge
Good interpersonal communication skills
Excellent English skills both written and orally
Following Experiences will be a beneficial asset
Education and experience in telecommunication
Experience as system developer
Product development knowledge and Product Lifecycle Management knowledge
Simulation skills (Redhawk)
