We are growing our team within Mechanical Design and are looking for creative engineers who will supply to make sure we stay technology leaders in the telecom industry. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be a notable member of the team and participate in the design of Ericsson Radio Network Products with focus on high band 5G radios. We develop an ever-increasing number of radio products where every generation delivers improved value to our customers, with our demand on quality and robustness in harsh environments. Our solutions must be cost efficient and as well have a low TCO, total cost of ownership. In your role you will participate in pre-development where we study detailed aspects of technology to come, and as well be a member of product development project. Some of your responsibilities will be performed individually, but most of them will be in multi-functional both locally and globally. You typically interact with subject area such as thermal and industrial design, as well as PCB layout to mention a few, and as well manufacturing and suppliers. In Ericsson, we focus on how the work is performed, our and respect, perseverance and integrity are our leading stars.
You are a good communicator, and can express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. You will need to master different manufacturing techniques for example aluminum die cast and injection molding of plastics. Travel to global suppliers and Ericsson manufacturing sites are part of the job.
Qualifications and experience:
Very good knowledge of mechanical design, die-castings in particular
Proven record of MCAD, preferable CREO
Wide knowledge in different manufacturing methods
Good understanding of mechanical collaboration with electrical design
Experience in structural mechanics
Good language skills English, Swedish a plus
A minimum of 5 years’ experience within the field
Experience/Knowledge in the following areas is an advantage:
Plastic - Radom end RF-related design
PIM
EMC
IP - Shielding outdoor products
Wind load
Modularization
Requirement development
Design for automatic assembly
Easy installation
Personal traits:
Strong analytical problem-solving skills
Innovative and takes initiatives

Good communication abilities
