About us
EDS Components & CAE is a part of ART Electrical Infrastructure. The EDS Boxes & Connectors team is responsible for components included in the wiring harness deliveries, such as distribution boxes, connectors and terminals.
As a developer in the EDS Boxes & Connectors Team you have technical responsibility over time for connectors and the electrical interface included in wiring harnesses.
What will you do?
You will be involved in the development of new components, definition of requirements, time schedules and other pre-requisites to be used as base for the engineering work. You will also follow project deliveries from timing and quality perspectives. You will lead the development of Connector solutions and ensure definition of requirements. You will establish time schedules and ensure effective daily cooperation with stake holders within Volvo Cars and development suppliers.
You will support other teams in the ART with quality related issues.
You and your skills
We believe you are a great communicator with excellent cooperation skills,high integrity and professionalism. You as a person is structured and meticulous. You have a problem solving approach and are able to work individually as well as collaborating closely within the team. You have a curious mindset and are able to learn quickly and share knowledge.
You have engineering education at university level within electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, or similar competence achieved through working experience. You have good ability to read and write technical documentation and have experience from, and likes to work with administrative tasks. You have experience from working with electrical connectors and are fluent in English, written and spoken.
Meritorious
• Experience in processes, systems and tools used for technical documentation and project management within Volvo Cars (e.g KDP, TC, EiDB,)
• Basic knowledge in Catia
• Experience of work in EIDB (LDB)
• Experience from agile way of working
• Knowledge about Polymeric-, Metallic Materials & Platings
• Knowledge about material properties for metals and plastic polymers
• Experience from working with design of electrical distribution systems for automotive applications
