Our Exciting Opportunity:
We are now looking for a development engineer to maintain and qualify site solutions products to use in Ericsson Radio Access Networks. Your role will include all development activities such as: requirement analysis, system design, architecture design, hardware design, verification, simulations, Product Lifecycle Management support, and product documentation. Our focus is on Lean and Agile ways of working. We prioritize cross-functional development teams in which continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing is part of the daily work.
This position is for Interconnect Design 2. The ICD section has global governance, collaboration with over 20 suppliers, and product responsibility for more than 30.000 interconnect products. Products within the ICD domain is an enabler for reliable end-to-end connections between Ericsson Radios and Digital units. We have long technical experience within interconnect domain, and you get the possibility to learn from expert colleges.
To secure site interconnect technology leadership and the next generation of interconnect in embedded digital units' domain it requires proficiencies in:
Power cables such as cupper and ALU cables.
Optical technology and optical cables
High speed and signal integrity
EMC and PIM
Qualification on component and system level



What you will do
Drive activities within site interconnect domain, knowledge within the power or/and optical cables is a merit
Understand system-level requirements, and break down requirements to understand the impact on component level and implement.
You will specify and qualify products within interconnect portfolio with manufacturing and cost optimization in mind.
Perform continuous analysis and requirement handling.
Perform troubleshooting and find an alternative solution
Drive continuous improvements of products and processes
Develop competence in site interconnect technical domain
Drive communication towards our suppliers


You will bring
Have M.Sc/B.Sc in Electrical/physics engineering or equivalent
2-5 years experience in power or/and optical domain
Product development knowledge and product lifecycle management
Be innovating, adapting, and responding to change
Delivering results and meeting customer expectations
Structured in ways of working (Planning and organizing)
