Scania is currently undergoing a very exciting change towards an increasingly operational- and flow-oriented approach in which Agile methods and fixed high-performance development teams are key components. Part of this change involves us adapting the CAD and PDM section so that it can become the facilitator we need it to be for Scania to achieve its long-term goals. Your duties
You will join a development team that, among other things, works with development and support for R&D and IT support. We work close to our customers and are involved in the entire system development process, from concept development to implementation and production. The team is responsible for projects and maintenance of current and future IT services that support Scania’s processes. You will play a central role in our development team and will have many contacts around the Scania organisation. As a developer, you will be involved in requirements, development, testing and release management. Together with the other teams, you will work in close cooperation with product and process owners on issues relating to functional guidelines – in both the short and long term.
Your profile
We are looking for an IT/engineering graduate with a few years’ experience of object-oriented programming. You will have a strong interest in modern system development in agile contexts and use methods such as Scrum or Kanban. Scania uses the Dassault Systemes application portfolio, and knowledge of that would be an advantage. You need to be proficient in written and spoken English, since it’s our corporate language.
We expect that you will also have:
Commitment and motivation to work in an agile development team
Good knowledge of object-oriented technologies C++
Knowledge of CAD/PDM, preferably Dassault Systemes
Knowledge of Oracle databases
Experience as a Scrum Master
Knowledge from using GitHub/Perforce and Jenkins
Knowledge of test automation
As a person, you will be results-oriented, organised and have good planning skills. You view continuous improvement as part of your daily work. You will also have good cooperative and communication skills. It is also important that you are able to take the initiative and work independently.
