Volvo Penta is happy to announce that we are now recruiting a Senior Development Engineer.
We believe that you have a genuine interest of working within testing and optimization of engines/power systems and we expect that you have both the knowledge of fundamental combustion theory and experience of developing vehicle/vessel drivelines.


About us:


Marine Development & Calibration within Product & Solutions Development is responsible for testing and optimization of both Hardware and Software regarding performance, emission, and durability of all our marine drivelines.


The department is today about 17 Engineers working in different projects.


As a Development Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering test and optimization tasks. You will be a part of a project team within Marine Development & Calibration.


Main tasks and responsibilities:


Tests and tasks can be everything from a specific comparison measurement, a durability test, or a complete hardware selection for a project. You will plan, run, analyze, and report all different types of tests.
Optimization tasks can be all from a sensor linearization to final complete engine software setting for production. You will be delivering the optimization for a specific engine.


Tests and optimization tasks can be run both in test cells and actual marine applications.


We are looking for candidates with passion and ability to lead the way in our development work, a team member who is interested in technology development in general, but preferably towards testing and optimization of power systems and drivelines. Since the job consists of a net of contacts internally and externally, your networking skills are highly valued.
Previous experience from working with alternative fuels (hydrogen, methanol is a merit.


Requirements:
Your CV should contain listed qualifications in academic degrees B.Sc. or M.Sc.
Several years of experience in internal combustion engine development.
You should be able to communicate in both English and Swedish
Have a valid driver license.
