Development Engineer

The D&E unit develops and produces packaging systems and distribution solutions for liquid food.The unit is part of the Tetra Pak Group which has a global coverage and key product development centres in Modena, Italy, Lund, Sweden, and Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.In Modena, Lund, and Minneapolis we provide product innovation and industrialization of packaging systems and distribution solutions including world class expertise in key competence areas as well as in raw material converting processes and equipment to our customers all around the world. In-Line Plastic Moulding is one of the Key Competencies within D&E Packaging Technology.Our task is to develop plastic moulding technology for integration in our packaging platforms.For the Carton Bottle platform we develop new technology for injection moulded tops.This technology will work as an integrated process within the Carton Bottle Platform and must meet the demands on simplicity, robustness and low cost.In our development process we work with the latest technology within the field of plastic moulding, such as injection moulding machines, compression moulding and advanced analyses and simulations.We develop new test methods and quality assurance tools in order to meet the demands on robustness and quality of the packaging system. We are now looking for a Development Engineer dedicated to plastic moulding technology.Your main responsibility will be; .Develop new injection molding solutions for Carton Bottle Aseptic .Plan, execute, perform and drive test / validation activities in coordination with cross platform project teams and competence areas .Analyze empirical test results and simulations and write test specifications and reports .Take an active part in different projects aiming to develop next generation of Carton Bottle .Meet technical problem solving through a systematic and analytical approach The successful candidates possess an academic degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combined with documented experience from development work on complex machine systems.You are a driven and structured person with strong engagement and commitment to your work.You need to be fluent in English both written and verbal.
