Development Engineer

As a Development Engineer within Material Development & Strips you will be part of projects where the development work will have a real impact on key aspects such as cost and environmental impact.You will work in a dynamic role, have opportunities to travel and in the end you may see tangible results of the projects and your efforts in the packages you meet in your everyday life.

We work with new packaging systems as well as efficiency and quality improvement projects focused on material and converting processes for the existing ones.

Your most important tasks will be:

-Creation of theories and solutions for cost efficient combinations of materials and processes to achieve specified and robust packaging material properties.
- Planning and participation in Pilot Plant and factory testing.
- Creation of test plans, arranging and evaluating analysis results.
- Compilation of results and reports, participation in specification setting.


Kvalifikationer

As the projects are varied and dynamic you need to have both a theoretical and practical approach and be able to work independently in different projects with dedication and a positive mindset.You also have highly developed analytical and creative skills combined with excellent communication skills.

You have a degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, specialising on polymer or material technology.Experience from development work on polymer and fibre based packaging materials in a project environment is an asset.Converting knowledge and/or experience from work with filling machines, packages, quality or specification work will be an advantage.
