Our department for hard metal development is currently looking for a Development Engineer within powder metallurgy. We develop manufacturing processes for the products of the future, with a focus on quality and efficiency. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of the world's largest manufacturer of tools for metal cutting.
Key performance areas
The position as a Development Engineer gives insight in to the entire process, from raw material to the finished product. You will have many contacts, particularly internally with the product development and production functions, but also externally with suppliers of raw material and equipment, colleges and universities, etc. You will work independently, with good possibilities for development within the company.
Your primary responsibilities include to:
- Initiate and run development projects
- Provide expert advice to the product development organization
- Work with methods development med
- Actively take part in implementation of new and/or modified techniques on a production scale delta
- Participate in more complex problem solving in daily production
- Follow technological developments in the field
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent education in a relevant field. We expect you also have work experience from the powder metallurgy industry. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both written and spoken, is required. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
You are analytical, with a structured working style, and have the ability to run and follow up projects in accordance with established goals. You are practically inclined, with a genuine interest in technology and a talent for teaching others and sharing your knowledge.
