Development Engineer

We are now looking for a Development Engineer to join our Colloidal Silica RnD team in Bohus for a fixed term position covering for a parental leave.


As Development Engineer for our Levasil Colloidal Silica product line you will combine both product and process development and work hands on in the laboratory and in the pilot plant. Levasil is a versatile product that can be used in numerous applications which makes it so fascinating to work with! The team you will be part of works agile and in close cooperation with colleagues from different functions such as sales and marketing, process and quality control, technology and operations. All team members are inquisitive and committed to reach out and help a colleague when needed. This has developed a friendly and helpful atmosphere that makes the team grow, both as a group and as individuals.


Main responsibilities
Run lab scale trials, summarize results in written reports
Participate in product and process development projects
Compile and analyze data to support trouble-shooting and continuous improvement activities



Qualifications
Master's Degree in chemical engineering / chemistry or Bachelor’s Degree in chemical engineering / chemistry and 1-3 years of relevant experience 
Experience working in laboratory
Experience working with pilot plants and in production processes is beneficial 
Good understanding, writing and speaking in English language
Good understanding, writing and speaking in Swedish language is beneficial

The application process
After the closing date, we will start the selection process. 
In our first selection we thoroughly go through all the applications. If your skills and qualifications match the profile we are looking for, you will be invited to an initial phone interview that takes approximately 30 minutes. If you proceed in our selection process, we invite you to a face-to-face interview that takes about 1,5 hours. There you will meet with the recruiter and the hiring manager. 
In addition to this interview, you will be asked to conduct a problem-solving test and a personality analysis. We will discuss the results during the interview.
