The Material and Package division drives development of industry leading solutions, specifications and capabilities for packaging materials and other materials. We are now looking for a senior Development Engineer to join our team within Physical Modelling. We offer an opportunity for you to highly impact a central part of Tetra Pak’s Sustainability and Quality initiatives, in collaboration with Program Management, Environment organization, System Engineering and Test Method Owners. The position is primarily dedicated towards Recyclability testing.
What you will do
Lead the development of a technical roadmap for Recyclability test methods. Develop and implement test methods according to the created roadmap. During all three phases it is key that you consolidate and integrate input from stakeholders and that you continuously share you progress. You will report directly to Manager Physical Modelling in Lund.
Main responsibilities
Lead consolidation of needed Recyclability test methods with the input from Program Management, environment organisation, System Engineering, and external Recyclability partners
Lead the development of a Recyclability test method roadmap
Scout and develop techniques and equipment to characterise/evaluate recyclability of packaging material and packages
Lead the formalization of test methods with the support from external Recyclability partners and test method experts
Drive the implementation of test methods with the support from test method experts
Drive and communicate plans, progresses, and results from your area with projects, competence areas and other stakeholders

Central in the role is to identify parameters in Material and Package of interest for evaluation of recyclability and how to measure these parameters. The identified measurement is standardized in a test method. Important aspects of a test method are repeatability & reproducibility, efficiency and user friendliness. The test methods are developed in close collaboration with Programme Management, test method experts and specification owners.
This position will be located in Lund, but you will work in a global arena. Travel is limited.
Who you are
We are looking for an open person that actively shares and seeks knowledge with/from others and that can work independently. You drive for result and push yourself and others to meet deadlines. To be successful in the position, you have a technical interest and quality is a mindset of yours. You are innovative and enjoy working both theoretically and practically.
We believe you have a higher education in Physical, Chemical or Material Engineering or equivalent. It is also required that you have approximately 5 years of experience working in test methods development and/or recyclability development. Knowledge of statistics and measurement technology is required, bonus is if you also are experienced in project management.
Fluency in English is essential, both written and verbal.
