Development Engineer

We are now looking for a Development Engineer to join our Kromasil Product and Application Development Team in Bohus.
Kromasil is a brand of Nouryon and is offering silica-based stationary phases for analytical HPLC, as well as for process-scale HPLC for the purification of pharmaceuticals. The main work for the Kromasil R&D group, is to develop new stationary phases with various surface chemistries for analytical and process scale HPLC, develop new purification methods, and improve existing purification methods to increase the efficiency in the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals.
Main responsibilities
Secure a safe and standardized work in line with the HSE guidence and scope for the department and its functional standards
Develop, prepare, execute and analyze research elements (e.g. problems, questions, ideas) in own discipline and develop new and improve existing research methodology, in line with the Kromasil strategy, contributing to development of new products
As a support or a part of a project team contribute to the realization of objectives of R&D projects.
Support the Kromasil Marketing & Sales and Operations/Technology organization with trouble-shooting and knowledge within own competence area
Develop own skills in line with R&D target and HSE guidance

Qualifications
Master's Degree in chemistry / chemical technology or Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry /chemical technology with 3-5 years of relevant experience
Competence in chromatography
Experience from laborative work
Result oriented
Good computer knowledge e.g. Excel
Good ability to cooperate and communicate with different stakeholders
Good communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing
Good communication skills in Swedish, both verbally and in writing is desired

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Joakim Högblom, Product and Application Development Manager Kromasil and based in Bohus.
