Development Engineer

We are now looking for two Development Engineers to join our Colloidal Silica R&D team in Bohus for fixed term positions covering for parental leaves.
As Development Engineer for our Levasil Colloidal Silica product line you will combine both product and process development and work hands on in the laboratory and in the pilot plant. Levasil is a versatile product that can be used in numerous applications which makes it so fascinating to work with! The team you will be part of works agile and in close cooperation with colleagues from different functions such as sales and marketing, process and quality control, technology, and operations. All team members are inquisitive and committed to reach out and help a colleague when needed. This has developed a friendly and helpful atmosphere that makes the team grow, both as a group and as individuals.
Main responsibilities
Run lab scale trials, summarize results in written reports
Participate in product and process development projects
Compile and analyze data to support trouble-shooting and continuous improvement activities



Qualification
Master's Degree in chemical engineering/chemistry or bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering/chemistry and 1-3 years of relevant experience
Experience working in laboratory
Background in Material Science, Physical Chemistry or Inorganic Chemistry is beneficial.
Experience working with pilot plants and in production processes is beneficial
Good communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing
Good communication skills in Swedish, both verbally and in writing is beneficial

Additional information
This is two fixed term positions, one with start in January 2022 and one with start in March 2022. Both positions end February 28th, 2023. The positions are on full-time basis, reporting to Product Development Manager Levasil and based in Bohus.
