Job Summary
We are now looking for a Development Engineer to join the Lamination & Web Handling team with a focus on Vacuum coating.
This role will belong to D&T IBE (Development & Technology Industrial Base Engineering) which is responsible for developing, maintaining and implementing world class packaging material and converting solutions, enabling Tetra Pak to deliver competitive packaging solutions with a clear environmental focus.
The position is based in Lund, Sweden and requires approximately 20% of travelling.
What you will do
In this role, the main responsibilities will be to develop and maintain the vacuum coating process in our converting factories enabling us to produce the next generation sustainable materials. You will be involved in development projects, problem solving activities as well as training and supporting our converting factories.
You will focus on
As our new colleague, you will be responsible for:
Drive technical development and process specification settings for PVD Metallisation and AlOx coating.
Drive education of factory staff to ensure capable production competence.
Be part of issue resolution and support our converting factories on technical issues regarding process and equipment.
Participate in other development projects and technology knowhow activities relevant to the field.
We believe you have

Your communication style is open, and you find it easy to collaborate with others within and outside the organisation. Analytical reasoning and a structured way of working is important to be successful in this position.
We believe you have a relevant engineering degree combined with documented experience in the area. Good understanding of the Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) process is a must. Experience of coating paper substrate is a plus. We believe you have working experience from relevant industry
Your English skills are excellent, written as well as spoken.
