Volvo Aero develops and produces components for commercial aero, military aero and rocket engines with a high technology content, in cooperation with the world's leading aerospace companies. Service and maintenance represent an increasing proportion of operations in this area. Volvo Aero offers an extensive range of services, including maintenance, repair and overhaul of aero engines and industrial gas turbines, sales of spare parts for aero engines and aircraft as well as sales and leasing of complete engines and aircraft. Position Description As a Development Engineer, you will join a team which is responsible for management and maintenance of all CAM-systems used within Production. We are using NX (Siemens PLM Software) as our main NC-programming tool and Vericut (CGTech) is subsequently used for simulation and verification of ISO code. We have our own developed postprocessor system, but are also using NX Post builder. Most of our production drawings and instructions as well as CNC-programs are established from 3D master models. Your main task will be to work closely together with our machine simulation personnel. To support our production units within your area of expertise through daily contact with CNC-programmers and other engineers, will also be a part of the job. Requested qualifications: You have a technical education, preferably at academic level or equivalent. We require solid skills and experience in manufacturing engineering. Former experience from NC-programming and familiarity with ISO code is much appreciated. Former experience from model based engineering tools, preferably NX, is favourable. You are a troubleshooter Further, we believe that you have an analytical mind and possess communication skills in Swedish and English, both in the written and spoken language. You are an open minded and positive person with a demonstrated ability to manage continuous improvements.
