Development Engineer, Chemistry (Analytical Chemist)

Development Engineer, Chemistry to the Research department

We are looking for a Development Engineer, Chemistry for running samples, method development and validation as well as implementation of analytical chemistry methods mainly for LC-MS but also HPLC and other suitable methods, primarily for small molecules in low complexity samples. The work includes hands-on work with antibiotics, including penicillins.

The Research department currently consists of thirteen employees and work with several different projects. This role involves working with many different specialties within Q-linea and projects in various stages of maturity, from early development to implementation in Operations. In your daily work you will work most closely with our formulation engineers.

As the role is lab-based, you will primarily work on site. As a Development Engineer, Chemistry you will:

- Work independently with LC/MS but also HPLC
- Be able to collaborate with other teams in the company
- Carry out development, validation and implementing of new analytical methods
- Be responsible to maintain analytical instruments to a high standard
- Train and share knowledge on instruments with other team members.


Qualifications

- PhD, MSc or BSc in a chemistry related subject (e.g., Chemistry or Pharmacy) or documented similar work experience
- Multiple years of work experience of various analytical techniques
- At least 3 years of practical experience of development of methods for relevant laboratory equipment after your undergraduate examination
- Extensive experience working independently with LC/MS
- Familiarity with HPLC
- Either fluent in English (speaking, understanding, and writing) or fluent in Swedish and good understanding of English
- Industrial experience working with LC/MS and/or HPLC is a strong merit.
