Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
At our team we provide the electrical platform for a major part of Scania. This means that we work with cutting edge electronics for autonomous vehicles and 5G communications among others. We are involved in a majority of future projects here at Scania.
About us
As a component owner within our group Electronic control unit design you will be responsible for several complex electrical hardware’s. Our focus is on the more advanced units controlling the functions in the truck with a wide spread from air pressure to autonomous vehicles , sensors and AI capable hardware. We use our knowledge in electronics together with the rest of Scania e.g. system architecture, test, production, purchasing to understand how we should specify, develop and test the hardware.
On daily basis we have a tight cooperation with our colleagues at Scania, our suppliers, and is right now forming our team together to be stronger than ever. As part of our team you will follow the development of the control units and electronic hardware from idea to finalized product and will be an important part of the continuous learning in the team. As the products are becoming more and more complex, cooperation is key to success. On day to day basis you will be surrounded by nice, fun and competent colleagues, and will learn new things both in depth and in a broader perspective.
Your profile
You have been working within electronics for more than three years and feel comfortable with both details on single components and to work in projects. You are familiar with most of the following areas/abbreviations and maybe even expert in one of them; microprocessors, BGA, EMC, ESD, PCB design, test, analog circuits, underfill, PCB production, cooling, conformal coating, life length calculations etc.
You like to both dig in to details and grasp the bigger picture. Since we also have direct contact with suppliers during different project phases you are comfortable in handling different social challenges that require both a high technical level and some sort of political instinct. In order to fit for the role you have a personality that like to get things done in time, that are driven, cooperative, and have a reputation of delivering a good job.
In general, technology flows in your veins and the chance is big that you have some private projects at home within the field as well. Your education level is probably Master within electronics or an other relevant area. You speak and write English fluently and preferably also Swedish.
