We at Autonomous Transport Solutions (ATS) Pre-Development & Research, Scania R&D, are looking for a development engineer with a broad technical interest, in the development, evaluation, and testing of cooperative situational awareness functionalities.

Your responsibilities:
• As a development engineer, you will be working in an agile multi-cultural research team within R&D.
• The teams’ responsibility spans from architectural designs, via software development to concept evaluation regarding situational awareness for autonomous vehicles as being part of a more intelligent transportation system.
• Your role in the team will be to work on (but not limited to) cooperative situational awareness functionalities investigating how data shared between different agents (e.g. vehicles, infrastructure) can increase safety in the operation of autonomous vehicles using wireless communication.
• This also includes building up a test facility including infrastructure sensors, 5G communication, and a test vehicle.
• You will integrate and develop functionalities on the vehicle, perform tests and evaluate data together with the team.
Your profile:
We like people that are team players, attentive with a positive can-do attitude, and have the ability to drive technical development forward.
Required
• You have a Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Systems and Control, Tele-communication or a related field.
• You have a broad technical interest and like to work multi-disciplinary.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming.
• Very good communication skills, both in written and spoken English.
Extra meritorious is
Experience in one or more of the following:
• System identification and modeling
• Multi-agent network
• Data analytics
• Designing controllers
• Knowledge and experience within object-oriented programming software languages such as C++, Python along with a keen interest in programming.
• Knowledge of networking and protocols.
• Driving license for heavy trucks and busses.
