Department Customized Truck Development are responsible for customer and market adaptations of trucks and complete vehicles with bodywork.
In the group Bodywork Adaptation (ERSPA) we work in a dynamic and exciting environment close to market and customers. One of our colleagues has changed position within the group, therefore we are looking for someone new.
The group consist of 16 co-workers who mainly work with mechanical design and support. We work independently but in close cooperation with the team and different cross functions within R&D, sales and marketing, aftersales, purchasing and production.
We have three different teams in our group all working with bodywork adaptations, one of them is FFU.
FFU (Fit For Use) are implementing existing parts and solutions from bodybuilders and distributors to shorten lead time to end customer from our factory.
Your Tasks
As a Development Engineer at FFU you are working with adaptations for parts all over the truck, including both mechanical and electrical functions. The team is today consisting of two development engineers and two working with technical support.
You will get to use many different Scania systems that describes how the truck is specified and get a good knowledge about the vehicle and the FFU development process.
In broad terms the general way of working can be described as the team gets a request for a need from sales and marketing. Together with an assignment leader we are responsible to verify the technical solution and introduce in production. This differs depending on what type of request it is - it could mean to set the technical concept, discuss solutions with suppliers, order prototypes, test assemblies on vehicles, check the technical solution, prepare drawings and archive.
Your Profile
Preferred qualifications and knowledge:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical or mechanical) or several years of experience from product development
Scania module system and processes
Cable design and programming
Catia V5, OAS, PRS, Saber, BICT and SDP3 knowledge is highly meritable

You need to be fluent in both Swedish and English in speech and writing. Communication with colleagues and customers is a vital part of our work.
As a person you enjoy developing and finding solutions to complex problems. The work requires a person who is flexible, enjoys working with different tasks, takes initiative, interested in continuous improvements and has a structured way of working.
What We Offer
Our group consists of three different teams: A-order, S-order and FFU. We all work with body adaptability but in different processes. We have good collaboration, share information and knowledge about our products even though we follow different ways of working.
As a development engineer at ERSPA you will get a good understanding of the whole vehicle and you will be able to deepen and specialize in different areas within body adaptability.
