Development engineer - Design of exhaust aftertreatment system

The Job

The role is in a design group developing the next generation of exhaust aftertreatment systems. We are currently looking into the solutions for coming legislations as well as industrializing our latest platform at supplier, and are also supporting our systems that are available on the market. The technology is highly complex and the product is developed both for Scania trucks as well as for our worldwide colleagues within the Traton group.

The group you will join consists of both designers and object managers and is characterized by high competence, team spirit and the mindset of solving problems together as a team. The position is based at Scania Technical Centre in Södertälje but we support workplace flexibility and mobility.

As a design engineer you will design and improve our products and have good communication and cooperation with your interfacing functions, both internal and external. You will take part in cross-functional teams with the goal to optimize the aftertreatment system with regards to all product properties such as performance requirements, acoustic and emission legislations, weight, durability and cost. You will work close to simulation and test engineers and together perform development iterations as well as plan the testing and validation of your product.
