Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.Scania is constantly facing new challenges while driving the shift towards sustainable transport systems – creating a world of mobility that is better for business, society and the environment.
We are now searching for a colleague for our group in bus development “Steering and Suspension”. Our area of development is highly property-driven with the requirement for high technical know-how.
If you are the right person for the job you will be a part of a cross-functional team driving the bus steering & suspension system into the future for upcoming bus generations. This will put a high demand on your curiosity to develop both yourself and our systems, for Scania to be the best choice for the future.
Working as a development engineer within steering and suspension will give you a broad understanding of vehicle dynamics and a great opportunity to grow as a mechanical engineer. You will work closely with other groups within the section & sections nearby responsible for vehicle testing, strength calculations and dynamic simulations to secure the whole vehicle’s dynamic properties.
The job as such puts high demands on mechanical know-how, innovative skills, independent work, great planning with a high work pace and an eye for details. This will all be made with the support of a great team.
Requirement profile
You are a driven engineer with a university degree in mechanical engineering, preferably with experience in product development. Experience in CAD (preferably Catia) is a need, and previous knowledge of steering & suspension of vehicles is an advantage.
As we work closely with our colleagues, customers and suppliers all over the world, you need to master English well, both in writing and orally. It comes naturally for you to communicate with people from different cultures and environments.
