The Driveline Systems function at Volvo CE is globally responsible for development of wheel axles and transmissions for construction equipment, specifically wheel loaders, articulated haulers and motor graders. Component Technology & Reliability is a department within the function and we are now looking for a:
Development Engineer Driveline Hydraulics
You will work as a specialist within the area of hydraulic systems for driveline components, focusing on transmissions for wheel loaders, articulated haulers and motor graders.
The specialist area involves complete hydraulic system design as well as detailed knowledge of e.g. pumps, valves and filters.
You will be responsible for calculations, system design, system requirements and specifications, as well as contact with our suppliers.
You will be working with the entire design process and the whole life cycle of a product ? from advance engineering and early project phases, to industrialisation of new products and product maintenance.
Required qualifications:
You have a masters degree (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering, specialising in hydraulics, mechatronics or equivalent.
Experience from heavy duty and/or automotive applications is desirable.
Competence in simulation of hydraulic systems is also beneficial.
You are target oriented, flexible and able to work independently as well as in a team.
You should be able to handle multiple tasks in a structured manner.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Swedish are required.
