Development Engineer - Driveline Hydraulics

Volvo Construction Equipment, a business area within the Volvo Group, is one of the world's leading manufacturers of construction equipment such as wheel loaders, excavators, articulated haulers, road development equipment and compact equipment. Production facilities are located in Europe, Asia, North America and Latin America. Tasks and responsibilities: You will work as a specialist within the area of hydraulic systems for driveline components, focusing on transmissions for wheel loaders, articulated haulers and motor graders. The specialist area involves complete hydraulic system design as well as detailed knowledge of e.g. pumps, valves and filters You will be responsible for calculations, system design, system requirements and specifications, as well as contact with our suppliers You will be working with the entire design process and the whole life cycle of a product - from advance engineering and early project phases, to industrialisation of new products and product maintenance Qualifications and Requirements: You have a master's degree (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering, specialising in hydraulics, mechatronics or equivalent Experience from heavy duty and/or automotive applications is desirable Competence in simulation of hydraulic systems is also beneficial You should be able to handle multiple tasks in a structured manner Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Swedish are required
