The group "Visibility & electrical components" is responsible for development of electrical components, such as electrical connector components, single electrical wires, multicore cables and protective components for cable harnesses, sensors and actuators.Visibility components such as headlamps, tail lamps, side marker lamps etc and control system for the lighting are also examples of the group's responsibility.

The production of the new generation of Scania vehicles has now started in Brazil and we need to nationalize (find local suppliers) for more electrical components in order to keep our product competitive for the Latin America market.In order to facilitate this in an efficient way, we want to strengthen our organisation with a person with knowledge of Brazilian suppliers, culture and who is able to communicate in the local language.

Your assignment
You will work as a development engineer with responsibility for electrical components.Your focus will be on developing components produced in Brazil.You will work in close cooperation with the local suppliers in Brazil, the Scania purchase department in Brazil and Sweden and our colleagues at the Scania Technical Centre in Södertälje, in order to develop electrical components coping the very high quality and functionality standards required from Scania.

Your profile
You have a Bachelor or Master degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.Experience in design work or testing within product development of electrical components is required.International experience is valuable.Technical product knowledge is necessary as well as familiarity with Scania procedures and guide lines.As a person, you should be well structured and easy to communicate with.You need to be fluent in both English and Portuguese.If you can understand and communicate in Swedish as well, it is valuable.
