Our mission is to enable the shift to sustainable transport solutions through the development of the most efficient thermal management system for Electric Vehicles!
Do you want to be a part of this journey?
We are responsible for the development of the electrical components of the thermal management system for our electrified vehicles. Our components play a key role in the thermal management system. To keep up with the current and upcoming challenging projects, we are growing our team and we are looking for a new Development Engineer to become part of our journey.
Our team and culture
We are a diverse and international team with a lot of experience, including different skills and backgrounds. We enjoy working closely together in a friendly and inclusive environment, where we openly share knowledge and experiences and always put respect for the individual as one of our most important values. We work in an international environment and collaborate closely with our colleagues in the TRATON Group.
Our work is organized in an agile way based on SAFe, where both the individual as well as the team have a significant impact on the product by continuous deliverables in every increment.
Your Tasks
In the role of development engineer - component owner, you will be responsible for the development of the best technical solution for your component. The journey begins with providing our requirements to the suppliers and actively co-develop the component, followed by testing and continuous product adjustments/problem-solving, and ends with the successful implementation of your component in our serial production and continuous development until we phase out the part from serial production. During this process, full of challenges, you will work and collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues from installation groups, testing, production, purchasing and other areas and brands at the TRATON Group.
In this role, you will have support from experienced colleagues in the group and section, and a large organization that supports sharing knowledge and competencies.
Your profile
We believe that you have a University Degree (M.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering. If you have experience working with electrical components is an advantage, but your go-getter attitude will be valued the most. You like working with new technologies and problem-solving, while being methodical and working towards our targets. You are able to work independently and take responsibility for your own tasks while being a team player who likes to create a positive team spirit, spread the energy and share ideas with your colleagues.
You also have good communication skills and enjoy working in a diverse and multicultural environment. Fluency in the English language is a requirement, as we work and collaborate daily in an international environment. We strongly believe that a diversity of perspectives, ideas and cultures lead to the creation of an inspiring work environment.
We offer
We offer an exciting challenge where you will be able to develop your skills while being part of the ongoing transformation towards electrification. In our team, you will be able to develop your competence, through continuous daily challenges as well as planned training. Together we will shape your future at Scania!
Working at Scania, you are offered benefits such as a yearly company bonus, an occupational pension, flexible working hours, and much more. This role is with a hybrid remote work possibility (3 days of work from our office weekly). If you live in Stockholm, we offer a direct bus service from Stockholm City, via Liljeholmen to Södertälje, called Scania Job Express.
