We are expanding our team and are looking for a skilled development engineer within the area of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) to join our Signature Management department!
Your role
You will perform modelling, investigations and measurements in the area of electromagnetic compatibility for our products - submarines and surface ships. As a development engineer you will handle the requirements, technical solutions, and guide and support the system engineers and designers. The role includes many stakeholders both internally but also with customers and end users.
The main tasks are:
* Perform calculations, investigations and evaluation of design solutions
* Perform EMC measurements and evaluation of measurements
* Develop design and construction guidelines
* Guide and support system engineers and designers
* Plan and evaluate verification measurements
* Perform Research and Development (R&D) in the area
The team operates from both Malmö and Karlskrona and some work travels between these sites and also other Saab sites in Sweden, is required. Your days will be varied working both from the office, laboratory, at sub suppliers and occasionally onboard our subs and ships.
Your profile
We believe you are a person with great technical interest and experience from EMC. We think you have a curious mind, a responsive way and truly enjoy working together with others to find solutions to challenging problems. To succeed you need high communicative skills, a structured mind and the ability to grasp complex issues.
Required skills:
* Master of science in engineering or corresponding education
* Minimum a few years of relevant experience
* Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written
Desired skills:
* Experiences from EMC area
* Naval knowledge
* Experience of electrical design
* Experience of laboratory measurements (RF area)
* Driving license
This position requires Swedish citizenship and that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.
