Our development group consists of six co-workers and together with them, you will continuously work on improvements, both within technology and methods, which is a natural part of the work.

Your work assignment:

You will be working within the section NME – Emissions & Integration. Our assignment is to fulfil legal and project demands for the lowest fuel consumption, best engine response, and highest uptime possible for the Scania biomethane and diesel engines. 

The assignment applies both to future and existing legal requirements, which means that we either develop new concepts or refine existing technology solutions.

At NMEO, the work consists of the overall optimization of Scania´s bio-methane engines and exhaust after treatment.

The role includes:


• collaboration with developers of subsystems such as gas exchange, combustion systems, exhaust gas treatment and control system strategy
• contribute to a development that starts with the concept and moves on to the introduction in production followed by the handling of field assignments
• analyze test results and draw the correct conclusions, a practical touch, and analytic skills together with a good understanding of combustion engines including exhaust after-treatment, are required
• conduct your work in an engine test bed or a test vehicle with the following analysis and report writing
• verify the engine and exhaust after-treatment function in different environments and installations, you may come in contact with vehicle testing in different climates

 Qualifications:


• Bachelor's, Master of Science degree within a relevant engineering area or acquired corresponding knowledge during working life and solid knowledge in automotive engines, preferably with a background in engine optimization, engine control systems or exhaust after-treatment technology.
• Fluent in English both reading and writing necessary.
• Driver license C, CE and driving experience are meritorious.
