We are now looking for a Development Engineer within R&D, who will join our team of 17 people working with product management, product development and application development at Sandvik Coromant in Halmstad. Key performance areas
As a Development Engineer your main responsibilities include:
- Developing threading products and competence related to the technical area
- Managing and/or participating in product development or product care projects
- Managing knowledge projects related to threading products, technologies, materials and coatings

Our products are created in teams with participants from product management, marketing, production and development. The team is responsible for the whole chain, from idea to launched product, and is a vital part in ensuring our customers' future success. We place great importance on professional development and devote considerable resources to the competence development of our personnel.

The position involves some traveling.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in Engineering and a few years of relevant work experience. Experience from metal cutting, metallurgy, product development, CAD/FEA and project management is an advantage. As the work involves frequent international contacts, communication skills in English are a prerequisite.

You are committed and have a structured and analytical way of working. You have strong quality consciousness and the ambition to deliver results and to share your knowledge. Further, to be successful in this role you must be open to change and enthusiastic about being involved in and influencing the department's development. It is also very important that you are flexible and have the ability to take the initiative.
