II-VI, one of the leading companies in optical systems and optoelectronic components, is now looking for a Development Engineer - Hardware to facilitate the design and delivery of test systems for the automated characterization and control of their leading-edge semiconductor optical components at their facility in Järfälla, Stockholm.

Your Responsibilities
As Development Engineer - Hardware, you will form part of the Product Development Team that works with the design and delivery of test systems for characterization and test of optical semiconductor components. In this role you will develop, manage and improve various test systems.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
• Design, planning, procurement and delivery of hardware test setups
• Continual review, improvement and verification of all component development manufacturing phases
• Participate in performance requirement reviews and contribute to drafting of product specifications
• Provide and maintain documentation for all hardware setup, where applicable
• Interact and collaborate on a daily basis with on-site teams such as Procurement, Component Design, Production and Quality Control.
The Bigger Picture
You will join a competent test team consisting of 7 engineers and will report to the Test Development Manager. You will be expected to collaborate on several development processes simultaneously, from conception to delivery. This position requires sound knowledge in the design of test setups, a willingness to collaborate and the ability to lead complex projects.
Our Expectations
To be successful in this position we anticipate that you will need to possess the following:
• A graduate degree in electronics, engineering or physics
• Experience within test environments for electronic devices for RF and DC
• Fluency in both written and oral English
