Development Engineer
IKEA Components AB, Älmhult

Would you like to work on new technical solutions for products and production? Do you have new ideas and dare to move forward with them? Then you might be the Development Engineer we are looking for!

In the role as Development Engineer your task is to lead technical assignments within different development projects. Focus lies on developing and realizing smart solutions that meet the functional requirements to the lowest cost and within the timeline. In this position you will have the possibility to work with the latest technique within your area, together with material experts, external development partners and our internal Prototype Shop.

Your Assignment:
Lead and deliver the technical assignments of the project
Create and lead D-FMEA during the start up phase of the project and follow-up till end of the project to ensure identified risks are solved.
Develop the test plan to verify and validate the issues identified in FMEA.
Develop smart solution to meet functional requirements at low cost within the timeline.
Responsible to secure and update relevant technical documentation.
Support the testing team to analyze and document the test results and verify for further development.
Co-operate with external development partners to support the development activity.

To succeed in this position you need to be structured and have good knowledge within mechanical engineering. Some years of experience from working with technical product requirements and verification are also an advantage. Together with your team you create the best technical solutions for the customer and you are driven by innovation, problem solving and the will to influence and make a difference.

The job is located in Älmhult, with good possibilities to commute from cities like Malmö, Helsingborg or Växjö. The assignment requires international travels at least 30 days per year.
