The Team
The section Exhaust Aftertreatment Performance has responsibility for the performance and function of the reduction of hazardous emissions such as NOx and particles. We are presently looking for a new member to the group Flow Distribution and Urea Vaporization Performance.
About the position
The work consists of testing, evaluating, optimizing and calibrating the exhaust aftertreatment, both as a system and on a component level. Most of the work is done in engine test cells, but testing is also performed in rig, truck and bus. The work is an iterative and dynamic process where many variables should be optimized simultaneously. Everything form the urea vaporization and mixing, to demands on robustness and our customers' total economy is considered in the performed optimisation work.
The exhaust aftertreatment is an integrated part of the driveline, and both influences and is influenced by the engine. Thus, the work is done in close cooperation with colleges working with engine performance, design and the control system. With the help of genuine cross-functional work you deliver the bases so Scania can choose the best components, so the engine and aftertreatment can be controlled in a robust manner, so we can certify that the system fulfils both present and coming environmental legislations.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for you who would like to be part of the team that is working on the exciting development of the next generation exhaust aftertreatment systems. You should have a masters or bachelor in engineering, within physics, vehicle engineering, chemistry, mechatronics or similar. Previous experience in practical work within testing is a merit. You should have knowledge in data analyses.
As a person you like the variation between practical work with testing and data analyses. You have the capability to consider the whole system and its integration, without losing sight of the details. You like complex challenges and you are interested in learning new things. You are outgoing and look for cooperation both within your team and cross-functionally to solve problems.
You should be fluent in English, both written and oral. Swedish is merit.
