Materials Solutions at D&E Materials and Package is exploring new technologies and sustainable materials for openings and closures. We are looking for a Development Engineer to join our New Materials for Openings & Closures Team that drives material developments in this area together with dedicated program.
The position is based in Lund and as you will work in a global arena, some travelling is required.
What will you do:
Our new Development Engineer will design, evaluate, validate and document innovative sustainable material solutions for openings and closures.
· Work with technology and product development together in a cross functional team
· Be responsible for the development of new material specifications
· Collaborate internally with functional specialist, supplier management, food safety and sustainability departments.
· Collaborate externally with technology and material suppliers
· Coach, inspire and share technical knowledge with colleagues and stakeholders
Who you are:
You are at heart, curious, passionate and dedicated to developing tomorrows sustainable material solutions. We think that you have a natural drive for problem solving, able to coordinate, collaborate in a team and deliver desirable results. You are an independent, but collaborative and communicative person who easily builds and maintains successful relations with your direct team, important stakeholders and external partners.
We believe you have a University Degree within Materials Engineering or similar, and it is required that you have a minimum of 1-3 years’ experience working with materials development. Previous experience from paper or carton industry as well as experience from food-, packaging- or similar industry is meritorious. Fluent English both written and verbally is expected and necessary.
