Development Engineer - Package Simulations

The D&E unit develops and produces packaging systems and distribution solutions for liquid food.The unit is part of the Tetra Pak Group which has a global coverage and key product development centres in Modena, Italy, Lund, Sweden, and Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.In Modena, Lund, and Minneapolis we provide product innovation and industrialization of packaging systems and distribution solutions including world class expertise in key competence areas as well as in raw material converting processes and equipment to our customers all around the world. Packaging Technology within D & E seeks to achieve cost-driven innovation by defining new concepts, scouting for partnerships, and applying new technology developments.Within Packaging Technology the section Package Development Competencies work with development of new packages in the early development phases.Package Development Competencies are now looking for a Development Engineer with mechanical FE-simulation competence.As Development Engineer you will work within a high priority project focusing on cost driven innovation for new packaging material. Your main responsibilites will be to: Drive simulation activities within projects and report to Project Leaders Plan and set up package testing, analyse, document and report results Propose actions based on results from both simualtions as well as practical verification Demonstrate & present simulations internally and to external parties A successful candidate possesses a Master degree in Engineering including FE-method courses, and a couple of years of work experience from FE-simulations.ABAQUS is used as our main software.Good knowledge of verification and quality methods combined with experience from test planning, execution and reporting.Experience of working with statistical methods is beneficial.Experience from World Class Engineering, Six Sigma or equivalent is merited As a person you are communicative, analytical and organised.Furthermore you are innovative, proactive and you easily establish good working relations.A good command of English both written and verbal is essential and a capability to manage own tasks as well as teamwork ability is vital.Please submit your application online at tetrapak.com no later than January 5th 2007.
