Autonomous Transport Solutions (ATS) Research is responsible for developing, testing and piloting future frontier ATS concepts. This work is done using agile and self-steered teams with the ambition to detect and evaluate upcoming technologies, and prepare these for industrialisation. We work in close cooperation with Volkswagen group, leading technology suppliers and academic institutions.

Your work duties
As Development Engineer for ATS Perception, you will work with pre-development and advanced engineering of multi-sensor fusion with the goal of vehicle-surrounding object tracking and prediction. This includes contributing to design, implementation, and assessment of sensor fusion algorithms for estimating drivable surface and lane boundaries, and estimating vehicle pose, ego-motion and dynamics. The position also includes coordination of internal/external development teams and evaluation of new potential technologies.
This position is located in Södertälje and you will be a part of an agile development team.
Your profile
Required Qualifications:
• A Master's degree and/or Phd in any engineering discipline, (Mathematics, Computer science, Physics, or similar) and 3+ years professional experience in robotics or autonomous or similar high-tech development projects.
• Exceptional algorithm development skills and strong programming competence in C++, Linux and/or Python.
• Strong foundation in signal processing, matrices, vectors, transformations and all aspects of applied linear algebra.
• Knowledge in one or more of the following areas - sensor fusion, object tracking, environment perception (RADAR, LIDAR, Camera), point cloud processing, image processing and prototyping.
• Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast moving environment.
• Previous experience of working in agile development teams is considered an advantage.
