Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Scania Powertrain Development is in an exciting stage to turn our company towards a more sustainable future with regard to lower greenhouse gas emissions with the help of energy-efficient engines and renewable fuels, as well as cleaner engines for future emission regulations. Our team are responsible for performance and emissions for diesel engines under 13 liter and responsible for follow-up performance and emissions for all engines. A member of the team is changing positions and we are now looking for a replacement.


Your tasks 
You will be responsible to follow up and support the Engine Audit Test department when it comes to Conformity of Production (COP) testing and Quality Assurance (QA) testing. You will also, together with Type Approval department support during national certifications and COP. You will also be responsible for supporting our colleagues in São Paulo, Brazil, with their Engine Audit Test cells. The work includes contact with other departments in Engine Assembly such as Engine Testing, Product and Process engineering departments.
You will be part of a Performance Group that investigates and run Engine test cells in order to understand performance and emissions from Field Quality items.


Your profile 
You are an engineer with a Bachelor’s degree, Master of Science degree or have acquired equivalent knowledge through substantial work experience within the relevant area. Knowledge within combustion engine technology is a demand and experience from emission diagnostics and/or exhaust after-treatment technology is meritorious. You are a positive person that takes initiative, without prestige, and have good communication skills, since the position requires contact with several different development teams and departments.
You have good knowledge of English, both in speech and writing.
