Development Engineer Powertrain

We provide both consultants on site, and deliver complete assignments within product development together with Swedish and international partners. We are currently looking for an experienced Development Engineer within Powertrain for our customer within the automotive industry of large vehicles in Gothenburg.

Work description:
The Powertrain Control group is a dynamic group that provides world class solutions in terms of drivability and fuel efficiency to all truck and bus brands within the customer's organization. We are working in a cross-functional way through the complete development chain from requirement breakdown, system/function design, and software implementation to calibration and verification of functionality in customer end products.

We are performing our work in an agile set-up with cross-functional teams.
We have today divided our group's delivery in three long term feature packages, in agile called products:
1. Predictive Powertrain Management
Cruise control (Including GSP/Map-based functionality in engine and transmission, engine brake, pedal maps, torque management etc.
2. Clutch and Shift Control
Control the clutch and engage the gears
3. Gear Selection and Autonomous Vehicles Pwt Ctrl
Select which gear to engage.
Powertrain control functionality and interfaces for autonomous vehicles

We are now looking for a consultant to be part of a customer focused development where initiatives and ideas are highly appreciated.

The assignment will be within the Predictive Powertrain Management team. The consultant will be expected to develop functionality primarily within the engine management system but will be part of the team and as such care for the team delivery.

Main Responsibilities:
-Develop and define technical solutions and function specifications.
-Implement control system functions with model based tools (Matlab/Simulink/Targetlink/ASCET).
-Calibrate and verify technical solutions, both in simulations and in vehicle.

Required skills and experience:

-Experience from automotive engineering and powertrain development.
-Experience from driving cars or heavy vehicles. Driving license class C and CE is a must
-Knowledge in model based development tools such as; Matlab/Simulink/Targetlink/ASCET.
-Master of Science in Mechatronics, EL, Physics, Mechanic; with focus on control strategies and embedded software development.
-Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
