Development Engineer Pre-Press Technology

The Pre-Press & Printing technology team within the Packaging Material Platform has the responsibility to develop, maintain and improve the Specifications within Pre-Press and Printing.We are the global owner of the Tetra Pak equipment and process specifications for Pre-Press and Printing.Our role is to provide competence, delivering Pre-Press & Printing solutions within all our projects, ranging from package development through to process and equipment development to installation projects.We are also responsible for our Specification Maintenance program, always securing our Specifications are up to date and available for all users.We are now looking for a skilled Development Engineer within the area of Pre-Press technology.


Main responsibilities

-Build and share leading expertise in one or more specific competencies in the area of Pre-Press Technologies.
-Develop innovative solutions based on technical specifications
-Translate market, cost and technical requirements into technical specifications
-Validate and document with calculations and detailed analysis the above solutions in development reports
-Advise Tetra Pak organization on specific technical subjects, current solutions and project timelines
The position is based in Lund, Sweden with approx.30% of travelling time.


Kvalifikationer

To be successful in this position you have a strong personal drive with the ability to meet set targets.It's essential that you are a team player and realize the importance of sharing your knowledge with the team.Communication skills and the ability to adjust to different people are important as you will be working cross functional with different projects and nationalities.

Preferably you have a degree in Printing technologies and/or a Master of Science in Engineering.You have at least 5 years within the industry working with Pre-Press Technologies focus on Flexography plate making.Relevant experience would be working in printing company, plate manufacturer or plate making equipment manufacturer.We believe that you have knowledge and experience from printability evaluation and colour management knowledge.You are fluently in English, both written and spoken.
