Description
Supply Chain Operations /Industrial Base Materials is responsible for developing, maintaining and implementing world class packaging material and converting solutions, enabling Tetra Pak to deliver competitive packaging solutions with a clear environmental focus.
We are now looking for a Development Engineer to join the Extrusion & Surface treatment development team. The main responsibilities will be to develop and maintain innovative solutions related to the surface treatment process enabling adhesion between different materials in our package material structure. You will be involved in development projects, problem solving activities as well as supporting our converting factories.
The position is based in Lund, Sweden and requires approximately 25% of travelling.
Main responsibilities
-Represent the line competence in development projects
-Drive technical know-how activities and strengthen our capability in measure and understand the effect of different treatment technologies
-Be part of issue resolution and support our converting factories on technical issues regarding process and equipment
Qualifications
You are passionate about your work and you take ownership of your activities. Your communication style is open and you find it easy to collaborate with others within and outside the organisation. Analytical reasoning and a structured way of working are important to be successful in this position.
You have an educational background within engineering such as material science or chemistry. Preferably you have experience from automated process applications. As an alternative your educational background is from another field of engineering but your previous working experience is applied in surface treatment processes. We believe you have at least 3 years working experience from relevant industry.
Your English skills are excellent, written as well as spoken.
