The department Customized Truck Development is responsible for customer- and market driven adaptation of trucks and complete vehicles with bodywork. It is an expansive area where Scania invests in order to get into new markets and segments. Our section System Development is responsible for all electrics, cable harness design and system development within the department. The system/sw team is working with a wide variety of tasks and we are now looking for a new colleague, who wants to meet the challenge of the future within i.e. Cyber Security and Software Update with us.

Your role

Your responsibilities will include identifying software needs in both customer requests and larger projects/assignments, coordinate systemisation/development work and verify that the solution meets the requirements. This includes cooperation with multiple development teams, market representatives and other design areas.

In addition, you will have to support production and aftermarket with software deviations that might arise on customized trucks.

You will also work as function owner for some of our customized functions and do requirement specifications, risk analysis and verification tests. Furthermore, you will contribute to the development of Cyber Security within the organisation.

Together with the colleagues in the team You are also responsible for continuously improving and challenging the group’s working methods and processes.

Your profile

You have a great technical interest and like the challenge of finding solutions for unique customer requests. As a person, you are structured, creative, driven, flexible and used to taking responsibility. You can easily collaborate with others but can also work independently towards a set target. You are looking for width rather than depth in working tasks and like to have multiple things ongoing.                     

You have a M.Sc. or B.Sc. in mechatronics, systems design, electro or equivalent and preferably some years of working experience in the automotive industry and/or with embedded systems. Experience in programming and working with cyber security is a merit. You can communicate fluently in English (both written and spoken) and in addition have at least basic Swedish knowledge, with an intention to develop further.
