Development Engineer - Test Hardware, II-VI

World-leading II-VI in Järfälla, Stockholm, is looking for an experienced Test Hardware Development Engineer.

Do you have experience in testing of opto-/electronic devices for RF and DC or PCB design of test applications? Do you have experience of design and delivery of test systems for the automated characterization and control of semiconductor optical components. THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a development engineer in test hardware, you will be part of the Product Development Team for design and delivery of test systems for characterization and test of optical semiconductor components. In the role you will develop, manage and improve the test systems you work with.
Your main duties and responsibilities:

• Continuously improve test systems to achieve higher availability, product return and efficiency.
• Participate in new product development as a test development representative.
• Test develop of new test systems.
• Be an integrated part of R&D projects with different tasks for test development.
• Provide and maintain documentation for all hardware setup, where applicable.

IN ADDITION...

You will become part of a competent test team consisting of 15 engineers and you report to Test Development Manager. You lead several development processes, from ideas until delivery to the customer. The position requires high knowledge in the design of setups and the ability to lead complex projects.

WHO ARE YOU?

We are looking for you who have a MSc or PhD in optoelectronics, electronics, physics or mathematics. You have work experience from test environment of opto/electronic devices for RF and DC. You are fluent in English speaking and writing; it is also an advantage if you have Swedish skills.

To be successful in the role, you are used to working within complex projects and towards set goals. You are driven, quality-conscious, creative and innovative and find solutions both within and outside the traditional methodologies. You have a keen interest in external monitoring of the latest technology and innovation. You are also a strong communicator, good at networking and creating good relationships.
