Vacancy: Development Engineer
Contract type: Fixed term (until 31.08.2022) with possibility to permanent contract
Location and country: Nastola or Vantaa (Finland), or Fristad (Sweden)

Uponor Infra is recruiting a Development Engineer for fixed term contract until 31.08.2022. After the term there is a possibility for permanent contract. Location alternatives are Nastola or Vantaa in Finland, or Fristad in Sweden. Part-time home office work is possible.
As a Development Engineer in Uponor Infra, you will have a role in product development and project management. You will work in the development team, interacting closely with Uponor Infra Application Managers, production teams, laboratories and sourcing, but also with external tool and machine suppliers.
Key responsibilities include the design of new products, supporting Uponor Infra application teams in daily problem solving related to products and components, and acting as technical resource or project manager in product development project teams.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- lead and coordinate projects from development perspective
- develop and create CAD/2D drawings and 3D CAD models and technical product data and product design in PDM/Windchill-system
- support Uponor Infra application management on both local and Europe level
- co-operate with other functions such as production, sales, marketing, sourcing and quality control in project teams, but also with suppliers and external partners
Requirements:
- skills and experience in working with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Inventor or Creo)
- experience in solving complex design problems
- experience in working and leading multi-functional project teams
- experience in managing parallel projects and cases simultaneously
- fluent in English, both written and spoken
- B.Sc or M.Sc in Mechanical, Plastics, Material technology or other relevant field of study
Other skills that are considered as an advantage:
- ability to work under pressure and with time constraints
- result oriented, agile and flexible mindset
- team-player and good communication skills
- good understanding of extruder, rotation and injection moulding processes as manufacturing methods and basics in raw materials
- overall knowledge of digitalisation and BIM-technics
