About us
AstaZero, a joint venture between RISE, Research Institutes of Sweden (ri.
se) and Chalmers University of Technology (Chalmers.se), is a non-profit world-leading high-tech test center for research and development within active safety, connected and automated transport. The test center has a unique capacity with its own proving ground and digital environments that create the opportunity to conduct, support and accelerate research and development in the transport sector. Development often takes place through partnerships and in close cooperation with vehicle manufacturers, suppliers, authorities and universities from all over the world.

Your role
You will be an important part of our R&D department, where we develop solutions that ensure the reliability of the transport system in terms of road safety in the future. By participating in research projects together with industry and academia, you contribute to the technologies that shape tomorrow's safe and secure transport systems and infrastructure. Your focus will be on the development of HIL/VIL environments and software related to virtual testing. As a software development engineer, you will be part of a growing team working in both our own development projects and research projects together with several different companies. The goal is to create software that contributes to increased ability, both short-term and long-term, regarding verification testing at AstaZero. You will also interact with other areas such as the “development of network communication scenarios and autonomous test systems” and “digital systems and test management”. In your role at AstaZero, you will work independently, while maintaining a close dialogue in the team, which follows an agile approach. Your work is mainly done at the development office at Lindholmen Science Park, but a lot of activities will also take place on our proving ground outside Borås.
Who are you?
You are driven by curiosity and you like new challenges. It is important that you are self-motivated, able to take initiatives and have your own drive. Taking the initiative and pursuing new ideas comes naturally for you.
- You have a M.Sc. in Electrical engineering.
- You have work experience of HIL/VIL development within the Active Safety area.
- You have work experience within sensor systems like camera, radar and lidar.
- You have work experience and good knowledge of CANoe and CANalyzer.
- You have work experience of automation framework for testing and verification of ECU diagnostics.
- You have good C++ programming skills and preferably good knowledge of Python.
- You are fluent in Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
- Driving license B is a requirement. The position is based in Gothenburg, but you will also spend working time at our proving ground.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal characteristics.
