Development Engineer within Antenna Design to Gapwaves!

ABOUT THE POSITION

As a part of the antenna team, you will have a key role in Gapwaves mission of leveraging innovative technologies to deliver advanced antenna solutions at mm-wave frequencies.

As an antenna engineer you will be a part of a team of 5-8 people and together with your team you will have full responsibility for one or several customers and research projects. The responsibility starts from specification of product to design, verification and delivery to customer. As an antenna engineer the main task in the team is to design and verify antennas together with the other designers and depending on experience your technical expertise and drive will be a key asset in the technical interaction with customer, RF design and quality assurance. Additionally, you will be given the opportunity to engage in our research activities and academic collaborations.

Main Responsibilities:

System and specification work of antennas
Antenna design and verification of antennas
Robustness and quality analysis as well as assurance of products
Technical interface towards suppliers, manufacturers and customers

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

The must-haves:

Relevant Master’s degree, such as Wireless and Photonics
Knowledge in Python and Matlab
Unhindered in both spoken and written English


The nice-to-haves:

Familiarity with radar and telecommunications applications
Hands-on experience with mmWave antennas, components and equipment
Experience with components and antennas in waveguide technology, ideally Gapwaveguide

ABOUT THE ASSIGNMENT:
This is a consulting assignment which means that you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition from both Gapwaves and Friday is that the assignment will result in a permanent position at Gapwaves.
