Development Engineer within Mechanical Design to Gapwaves!

ABOUT THE POSITION

As a mechanical engineer you will be a part of a team of 5-8 people and together with your team you will have full responsibility for one or several customers and research projects. The responsibility stretches from specification of the product to design, ensuring manufacturability, technical interface, 2D and 3D drawings, strength and vibration, verification, and delivery to the customer.

Main Responsibilities:

Mechanical design and verification of antennas and other parts
Establishing of mechanical drawings
System design of new mechanical concepts
Quality assurance of products
Technical interface towards suppliers, manufacturers, and customers

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

The must-haves:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar
Experience from SolidWorks or other CAD software
Unhindered in both spoken and written English


The nice-to-haves:

Familiarity with radar and telecommunications applications
Hands-on experience with mmWave antennas, components and equipment
Experience from manufacturing process like injenction modeling, metallization, die-casting, stamping, etching

ABOUT THE ASSIGNMENT:
This is a consulting assignment which means that you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition from both Gapwaves and Friday is that the assignment will result in a permanent position at Gapwaves.
