The department Autonomous Systems is responsible for piloting, testing and developing future Autonomous Transport Solutions (ATS). This work is done using agile and self-steered teams with the ambition to evaluate upcoming technologies, and develop these for serial production.

One of the key responsibilities for the department is the strategic and operational responsibility for developing the next generation of vehicle architecture related to the ATS environment. This includes providing and maintaining state-of-the-art development-, simulation- and logging environments, as well as a comprehensive CI/CD pipeline.

Your work duties
As a Development Engineer you willl be a part of an agile team and your responsibility will vary depending on the current development needs. It will include


• software development,
• integrating development tools to the existing development environment,
• training and support to the development teams
• Improve and adapt the CI/CD-pipeline.
• Harmonize coding standards and coding best practices with other departments at Scania

Your profile
Diversity is the normal situation in our development teams, hence, international experience and cultural awareness will definitely be to your advantage. You will have extensive contacts internally and externally, it is therefore crucial that you have a positive mindset, and are a terrific teammate. You have an academic engineering degree or equivalent experience from work and experience from high-tech development projects.You have good knowledge of written and spoken English.

In addition, the position requires experience in software development (e.g. C++, and GPGPU is an advantage), build automation (CMake, Conan, Jenkins, Artifactory), configuration-management and containerization tools (Ansible, Docker), version control tools (Git) and working with Linux systems (and/or QNX). Any experience from code analysis tools (clang-tidy, QAC) or/and coding standards such as Autosar C++14, is an advantage.
