At Mathem we’re working with pure cloud serverless architecture and modern microservices. We develop new functions in .Net Core or node.js on AWS Lambda, use DynamoDB table that trigger events on updates that other services can consume, and automatically deploy to our test and production environments using AWS CodePipeline. We strive to continuously nurture a curious and forward-leaning approach to software development, evaluating new technologies as well as open-source. We have a “you build it, you run it” way to develop and operate our software, which includes developers to develop test automation and deploy the code to production.

What you’ll do:

As a Development Lead at Mathem, you’ll lead the developers in an agile cross-functional team of talented Engineers, dedicated to creating a world-class experience for our customers with our website, app, and supply chain.

Depending on your profile (and interest of course!), you'll either lead the Delivery Offering team, responsible for making sure that our customers can choose suitable delivery slots for when to get their groceries delivered to their doorstep by Mathem’s fleet of trucks - or the Assortment & Pricing team, who aims to understand what assortment we should offer our customers to become their one-stop grocery shop!

You’ll have the technical responsibility for the software developed by the team, as well as being the line manager for the developers in your team. You enjoy a fast-paced environment and put pride in working effectively and with high quality in all aspects of software development. The Dev Lead works closely with the Product Manager to assess, scope, and define the work for the group. As you’re a passionate developer, you are also expected to be an individual contributor to the team. You understand how to balance velocity versus good design and quality and think test automation is important to maintain quality over time.

Who we're looking for:

• 5+ years of development experience crafting high-scalability, distributed systems in production environments, preferably in C#/.Net Core.
• BSc or higher in a technology field
• You enjoy developing and growing people
• You have some experience in leading a group of people and understand the importance of building relationships
• Experience working with microservices and cloud computing (preferably AWS)
• You understand agile software development and engineering best practices and are keen to advocate these
• Experience in one of the CI/CD tool, such as GitLab, GitHub, or similar
• Experience in unit testing and mocking
• Good communication skills, written and orally
• You have a Swedish work permit

• Understanding of relational and non-relational databases
• Experience taking ideas from concept to production
• Experience or theoretical interest in Machine Learning
• Experience working with A/B-testing
• Experience working with E-commerce
