Right now we are looking for Development Leaders within the areas of:

- IKEA Shared COMFORT Solutions
- IKEA Shared TABLES & CHAIRS Solutions

The Product Development Platforms,are the foundation on how we will build our range offer to the customers.You will need the ability to lead advanced developments,transforming materials,production and industries with relevant stakeholders within IKEAs value chain. Together with your team,you need to have a strong drive for working with conceptual and innovation development with the goal of delivering continuous improvements in all areas of what IKEA call Democratic Design and thereby significantly improving the customer experience within the Product Development Platform area that you will lead.

As a Development Leader,your most important assignment is to position IKEA as the leader in life at home through consumer and market driven innovation.You should be senior in leadership and challenging, with a strong focus on the IKEA democratic design principles.The Development Leader is responsible for leading the strategic processes enabling the development of products and product solutions within Shared Solutions on behalf of IKEA?s Business Areas.The position reports to the Product Development Platform Manager.

The Development Leader is responsible for:
-Develop strategic Shared Solutions business plans for the assigned area, taking into account the market situation,sourcing capabilities,competitors, resources and overall IKEA goals.
-Communicate and anchor the Shared Solutions business plans and product solutions within the broader IKEA with a special focus on the IKEA Business Area stakeholders.
-Analyze and interpret the strategic market developments from a global perspective and incorporating these into strategic initiatives,often in close cooperation with the IKEA Business Area stakeholders.
-People and resource management within the assigned area of Shared Solutions.

To be able to deliver in this role,the Development Leader should have:
-Strong networking and influencing skills to engage a variety of stakeholders and strong within communication.
-Strong senior leadership experience?inspiring,influencing,connecting,coaching and developing other senior leaders and specialists.
-Business,material and product development knowledge at a strategic level.
-Insights into customer needs and behavior,design,style and trends.
-Deep understanding of the IKEA value chain elements:product development,supply and retail.
-Excellent business planning,process management,implementation and budget management skills.
-The capacity to steer and work in a developing and changing environment.
